A Wisconsin woman apparently drove seven miles down a stretch of Interstate 94 over the weekend without realizing her fatal mistake: she was on the wrong side of the highway. Before anything could be done about it, she hit a vehicle head-on. Both she and the other driver died in the awful crash.

Now, it's coming to light that prior to allegedly causing the other driver's wrongful death, she had a history of driving-related offenses. According to Fox 6 Now, she was due in court this week on a number of offenses, including OWI, speeding, unsafe lane deviation and refusing to take a test for intoxication.

The driver the woman hit was a 41-year-old family man who was apparently on his way to work training when the accident occurred. Both drivers died at the scene.

The family, which had just moved to Watertown from Milwaukee days before the tragedy, is still looking for answers to what exactly happened. They apparently told Fox 6 Now that they believe that inattentive driving is a serious problem in Wisconsin.

It's not known if the 44-year-old woman was drinking prior to the crash, but investigators confirm they are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.

It sounds like this isn't the first time the woman put other people's lives at risk when she got behind the wheel. All drivers need to remember that unsafe driving puts more than just one life at stake. It's unfair to everyone.
