A Wisconsin man was killed yesterday in a four-car accident in a construction zone on Interstate 94 near Sullivan in Jefferson County, according to Wisconsin State Patrol.

The 77-year-old man died on the scene after his Buick LaSabre, which was stopped behind two other vehicles due to construction, was struck from behind by a Toyota Landcruiser. As a result, the man's vehicle was forced into a Honda Civic in front of him. This collision caused the three vehicles to be pushed into the median, with one of them striking a Dodge Caravan that was also stopped due to the construction on I-94.

The driver of the Buick was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Civic, a man, 46, of DeForest, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the car accident and was taken to Fort Atkinson Hospital. The driver of the Landcruiser, a motorist, 47, of Madison, also suffered non-life threatening injuries in the car accident. The driver of the caravan, a 50-year-old man from Madison, was not injured in the crash. Police reported that all the men involved in the accident were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

News reports detailed that formal charges are pending the completion of the investigation. Police do not suspect that alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the cause. Still unclear if any wrongful death suits will be filed in this case, however, the incident is extremely recent.

Note: The name of the victim and those injured were purposely left out of this post. More information on this car accident will be available as it becomes public.
