Wisconsin authorities are currently looking for a woman who fled the scene of a car accident late last week. According to reports, one Wisconsin woman fled the scene of a one-car, rollover crash which injured two people, one seriously, late Thursday evening north of Plymouth, Wis.

The crash occurred when the woman's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on state highway 23, struck a construction barrel late Thursday night. In an attempt to avoid the collision, the driver tried to maneuver around the barrel but resulted in her over-correcting her vehicle, causing the crash. As a result, her vehicle was forced up-side-down and pushed into the grass area between the roadway and the state Highway 57 exit ramp.

Two passengers in the vehicle were also injured in the car accident. Darnell Gates, 21, of Plymouth, was thrown from the vehicle during the crash and was taken by Flight For Life to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa. As of Friday, he remained in critical condition from injuries resulting from the crash. Authorities did not reveal if Gates was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Additionally, John Newman, 23, of Sheboygan, was taken to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. Newman was not ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the car accident on foot shortly before authorities arrived on the scene. Investigators are currently investigating the case and attempting to identify the woman who caused the crash.
