The Wisconsin Legislature recently passed sweeping legislation requiring all Wisconsin drivers to obtain auto insurance. This move was met with skepticism and cries from the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce and other pro-business advocates that the legislation would cause everyone's premiums to increase exponentially. Fortunately, the rhetoric and chicken-little "sky is falling" cries from the Chamber of Commerce and their pro-business allies have not come to fruition. To the contrary, according to insure.com's April 9, 2010 national survey of car insurance premiums in all 50 states, Wisconsin is the 4th least expensive state when it comes to auto insurance premiums. (http://www.insure.com/car-insurance/most-and-least-expensive-states-2010.html). Please read the survey for yourself and share the good news!
